Your former occupation(s): Co-owner of Sieben Hybrids Seed Co. and State Legislator from 1986-2008.
Tell us about your family: Married to Kay for 48 years with 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren.
What’s an interesting fact about your business most people don’t know? I still like to help at the farm during harvest, and I make a little extra money at my car wash in Beardstown, IL.
When you’re not working, how do you like to do to spend your time? Hunting, fishing, golfing, biking, shooting. Helping with FCA and our church men's ministry.
Tell us about your dream vacation. Spending a week together with all of our children and grandchildren on a Disney cruise.
Why did you join Rotary? I joined for the fellowship and the opportunity to have a positive impact on Geneseo
What has been your favorite Rotary moment? Many years ago, we re-packaged fresh whole shrimp from the Gulf of Mexico and sold them in 2# and 5# bags as a Rotary fundraiser.
What advice would you like to give new Rotarians? Make a commitment to be here every Tuesday. There's no fellowship in an empty chair.
If you could change one thing about your club, what would it be? We would sing every week from the Rotary songbook with Brad Toone at the piano!
