What’s an interesting fact about your business most people don’t know? I have to pay insurance premiums at the same rates that everyone does. There is no break for an agent!
When you’re not working, how do you like to do to spend your time? I like to work on projects that benefit kids. Being a coach, passing on the knowledge I have gained from terrific coaches and mentors is not only something I enjoy, but I truly feel I am obligated to do so. I have learned many positive things through sports over the years and that information needs to be passed on to younger generations.
Tell us about your dream vacation. At this point in my life, anywhere with my wife, without kids, would be fantastic. But to be more specific, all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Dominican Republic are high on the list.
Why did you join Rotary? Initially, to meet more people as I started by business career locally. But over time, it means more to me to be involved in the community.
What has been your favorite Rotary moment? Trying to beat the previous year’s time delivering phone books, regardless of what route it might be. I am a little bit competitive!
What advice would you like to give new Rotarians? Do not sit on sideline, participate and take some ownerhip in the Club. It’s more fun to be involved. We are all busy and that’s really not an acceptable excuse. “Many hands make light work!”
If you could change one thing about your club, what would it be? The main thing would be to focus our efforts and resources locally. We have tremendous needs right here in Geneseo.
